IV FIRSOVA READINGS

“LANGUAGE IN MODERN DISCOURSE PRACTICES”

On October 22–23, 2019

The conference will cover the following areas:

  • Comparative Studies in Language and Culture
  • Linguistic View of the World and Interaction of Cultures
  • Pragmatic Description of Language Units
  • Ethnic Identity in Language and Communication
  • Lexicographic Description of the Language
  • Intercultural Communication
  • Text: Interpretation Practice

Participation formats and time-limit

  • Plenary meeting report (20 minutes)
  • Session report (10 –15 minutes)

Conference languages: Russian, English

Application and report submission

Online registration for the conference is available here.

Participants are kindly requested to provide their report text to the organizing committee by e-mail 2019@f-ch.org in an attachment. Please indicate the author’s last name in the “Subject” line (e.g. Petrov_FCH2019_Text). Each participant should attach the uniqueness test result of at least 75% (i.e. a screenshot from the antiplagiat.ru website).

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Conference materials will have been published by the beginning of the conference. Each participant must attach a report on absence of unwarranted borrowings with uniqueness percentage of at least 75%. The collected papers will be placed in the RSCI article-by-article. The collection may be further indexed in an international database (an update will be provided in the next information letter).

Costs — at the expense of the sending side.

Participation and publishing fees are not applicable.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to decline applications if article content and design do not meet the requirements specified. Once articles have been approved by independent experts, all participants will be sent emails with selection results.
